A 43-year-old acid attack survivor in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has finally received Rs 5 lakh in compensation nearly three decades after the brutal incident. The victim, who was attacked at 15, received Rs 1 lakh from the Centre and Rs 4 lakh from the state government.
