The Friday test: Will Nifty extend its historic losing streak to nine weeks?

Indian equity markets are facing the prospect of a ninth consecutive weekly downturn amid multiple challenges. This week alone, the Nifty index has dropped by around 0.8% following a significant slide. Factors such as foreign selling, surging crude oil prices, and a depreciating rupee have dampened market sentiment. Technical analyses reveal bearish patterns, raising alarm among investors. Financial institution executives express concern over possible future market trends and investor reactions.
