Sikkim, Bengal governments sign agreement to boost interstate connectivity, transport sector

Sikkim and West Bengal signed a transport agreement to improve interstate connectivity. Taxis can now pick up passengers on return journeys from Siliguri. Sikkim vehicles travelling between Rangpo and Melli will not need countersignature permits. The quota for Sikkim taxis was increased from three thousand to six thousand permits. This pact aims to enhance transport efficiency and driver earning opportunities.
