Amid an intense heatwave sweeping across India, several states have revised school timings, announced early summer vacations, and even ordered temporary closures to protect students from extreme temperatures crossing 44C. States like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Maharashtra have shifted to early morning classes, while others such as Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, and Tripura have preponed holidays or shut schools altogether.
