School dropout rate falls; teacher strength crosses 1 crore

Teacher numbers have increased to over one crore, with women forming a majority. Pupil-teacher ratios improved across all educational stages, surpassing national targets. Dropout rates at the secondary level have declined, and girls' enrollment saw a slight increase. Digital access and basic amenities in schools have also seen improvements. However, no state achieved the top performance grades in the latest PGI rankings.
