Nearly half of Gujarat students don't reach Class 12: Report

Gujarat's education system enrolled over 1.15 crore students in 2025-26. The state recorded a 54.5% retention rate up to Class 12. This rate declined significantly at the secondary level, showing a dropout issue. Gujarat's student-teacher ratio stands at 29, higher than the national average.
