Manipur to get two more elite CRPF CoBRA units

Manipur is bolstering its security with two additional elite CoBRA units from the CRPF, supplementing an already deployed battalion. This move aims to quell ongoing ethnic violence and prevent militant regrouping. Large-scale combing operations are underway in affected regions, with thousands of central paramilitary forces present. The state has seen over 260 deaths and significant displacement since May 2023.
