Germany hits hottest June temperature on record: weather service

Germany's weather service reported that temperatures soared past 40 degrees Celsius at multiple spots on Friday, shattering the previous June record of 39. 6C. Five weather stations, including one in Saarbruecken at a scorching 40. 9C, registered these extreme highs, according to initial data from the DWD.
