Gauhati HC issues new guidelines for Principal Seat, Benches and District Courts

Gauhati High Court introduces new guidelines for its courts and district courts. Matters on Mondays and Fridays will be heard via video-conferencing. Judges are encouraged to car-pool. Staff attendance will be staggered, with up to 50% in office on alternate days. E-office will be prioritized for file movement. These measures aim for efficiency and fuel conservation, starting May 25, 2026.
