Former leader Aung San Suu Kyi moved from prison to house arrest in Myanmar

Former Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been moved from prison to house arrest. Her sentence was reduced as part of a prisoner amnesty for a Buddhist holiday. The move is seen as an effort to improve the image of the current leadership. Suu Kyi was detained in 2021 when the army seized power.
