Federal government employees asked to return to offices four days a week starting this July

Federal government employees in Canada will soon be required to work in offices more often. Most staff will need to be onsite four days a week starting July, 2026. Executives will work onsite five days a week from May 2026. This move aims to boost collaboration and service delivery. The government will consult with unions on implementation details.
