Centre eases uniform consent guidelines under air, water laws

New Delhi: The government has updated pollution control rules. Consent to Operate for industries will now remain valid until cancelled. This change reduces paperwork and compliance burdens. It also speeds up approvals for Red Category industries. A single application will now cover air, water, and waste management permissions. Environmental auditors can also verify compliance.
