'Anything less is unacceptable': Trump pushes NATO to back US control of Greenland

United States President Donald Trump is pressing NATO to support American efforts to acquire Greenland, arguing that US control is crucial for national security and for countering Russia and China. However, Greenlands residents and Danish officials have strongly opposed the idea, stressing the islands autonomy and right to self-determination. Diplomatic talks are currently underway in Washington, even as the United States already maintains a military presence on the Arctic island.
