After layoffs, Microsoft targets 7% of US workforce for buyouts - whos affected?

Microsoft is offering voluntary retirement buyouts to approximately 7% of its U.S. workforce for the first time in its 51-year history. This program targets employees at the senior director level and below, provided their age and years of service total at least 70. The company is also revising its stock-based reward distribution and simplifying manager pay tiers.
