Aditya Birla Health Insurance approved mediclaim, then cancelled it before discharge: A Delhi consumer commission has ordered Aditya Birla Health Insurance to refund Rs 44,354 and pay Rs 30,000 in compensation and litigation costs after it revoked a cashless hospitalisation approval mid-treatment and later rejected the reimbursement claim, saying the admission was unnecessary. The insurer did not appear before the commission to contest the case.
