700 companies of central forces to stay in Bengal after polls: Official

Central Armed Police Forces will continue their deployment in West Bengal after polling concludes. Approximately 700 companies will remain in the state to ensure peace and prevent untoward incidents. This extended presence aims to maintain normalcy and assist the state administration. Further decisions on deployment duration will be based on ground assessments.
