Ramadoss announces retirement from politics on his 88th birthday

Dr. S. Ramadoss announced his complete retirement from political life on his 88th birthday. He officially handed over full party control to his son, Anbumani Ramadoss, on July 25, 2026. Dr. Ramadoss stated he will no longer make political statements or interfere in party affairs. Anbumani Ramadoss will now independently handle all future political decisions and party administration. This marks a significant leadership transition for the Pattali Makkal Katchi party.
