Consumer court asks builder to return money taken from buyer after failing to deliver the project

A Hoshiarpur consumer commission has ordered a builder and housing society to refund Rs 5.25 lakh with interest to a software engineer. The 'Krisha Heights' project, launched in 2015 with possession promised within four years, failed to progress beyond planning. The commission deemed this an unfair trade practice, stating developers cannot collect funds without approvals and then cite regulatory delays.
