Silver slips from record highs on profit booking; gold prices ease

Silver prices retreated from the record levels on Thursday, declining by Rs 751 to Rs 2,06,684 per kg in the futures trade, as traders booked profits amid weak global cues. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver futures for March 2026 delivery depreciated by Rs 751, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 2,06,684 per kg.
