Delhi Government Proposes Salary Increase for Guest Teachers

The Delhi government is set to enhance the salaries of over 20,000 guest teachers, transitioning from daily wages to a monthly honorarium. This proposal includes a significant increase in pay, with a new structure that incorporates a Dearness Allowance. Guest teachers will remain on a contractual basis but will receive their honorarium even during vacations. The initiative has been welcomed by the teaching community, who have long advocated for better compensation. This move aims to provide financial relief and improve the quality of life for these educators.
