Hyderabad ITAT rules gift from mother cannot be treated as unexplained investment if source is proved

The Hyderabad Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) has ruled that a gift from a mother cannot be treated as an unexplained investment by the income tax department if the taxpayer proves the donor's identity, relationship and source of funds.
