VVIP treatment in Bengaluru jail: Superintendent, ASP dismissed; IPS officer to head prison for 1st time

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara announced disciplinary action against senior prison officials following reports of VVIP treatment at Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara Central Jail. Jail Superintendent Magery and ASP Ashok Bhajantri were dismissed, while Chief Superintendent K Suresh was transferred. An IPS officer will now head the jail for stricter supervision.
