Max temp drops to 20.2O Celsius, Bengaluru shivers
BENGALURU: Bengalurus icy chill and drizzle became the stuff of memes, as the city tucked itself in and shivered through Sunday. The citys maximum temperature plummeted to 20.2 degrees Celsius, well below Saturdays maximum of 25.3 degrees, as Cyclone Ditwah moved inward. According to weather observer Ravi Keerthi, this is the seventh-lowest maximum temperature in Bengaluru for the month of November. This is the 7th lowest maximum temperature of Bengaluru City IMD Observatory for November. It had recorded 20.2C on 2nd Nov 2012. Lowest being 18.6C on 26th Nov 1976, Keerthi had posted on his social media account on Sunday. Children covered head to toe in warm clothes venture out with their parents The citys minimum temperature was 18.4 degrees Celsius, a slight increase by 1.2 degrees, as compared to the normal minimum temperature of 17.2 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, the city recorded 0.2mm rainfall, and the relative humidity was 98 per cent. The forecast by Bengaluru Meteorological Centre, issued at 6pm Sunday, predicted the city will be cloudy, with light to moderate rain. Mist very likely during early morning hours in some areas. Maximum & Minimum temperature very likely to be around 22C and 18C respectively, the forecast read. The weather summary said cyclonic Storm Ditwah over southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining the north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts moved almost northwards.
