Service rendered in autonomous body to be counted for grant of gratuity at Centre

The Rajya Sabha was informed that service rendered by an employee in an autonomous body will be considered for gratuity in the central government, according to the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare. This applies to employees with National Pension System (NPS) who resign with permission to join the government. The All India NPS Employees Federation has welcomed this move.
