Lawyers have right to join peaceful protests, says SC; agrees to hear pleas against police excesses on Tuesday

The bench, led by CJI and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana, was told by senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan that lawyers were detained amid police excesses during protests against CEC Gyanesh Kumar and the Election Commission.
