No water in washrooms, family forced to get off train; Railways to pay Rs 16k

In an important ruling, a district consumer commission in Karnataka found that South Western Railway did not provide sufficient services to its passengers. A traveler and his family endured discomfort stemming from a lack of water in the washrooms and subsequently exited the train to lodge a complaint that went unresolved.
