Mumbai: BMC makes counting mistake, teachers to return salary

BMC education department found major errors in teacher pay fixation. Teachers appointed on January 1, 2004, received excess pay due to miscalculation. This error occurred in private aided schools. The BMC now demands pay-fixation proposals be resubmitted for correction. Recoveries will be made in installments to ease the financial burden on teachers.
