IMD issues orange alert as monsoon revives over Mumbai, MMR

The southwest monsoon has regained strength over Mumbai and the metropolitan region. The India Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for Tuesday, warning of heavy rainfall. Suburban areas received significant rainfall, while South Mumbai remained relatively dry. The monsoon revival is bringing back classic July conditions to the Konkan region. Water reserves have slightly improved, but remain below last year's levels.
