IIT-K gifts Mumbai its new air monitoring network MANAS

IIT-Kanpur has launched MANAS, an air-pollution monitoring network in Mumbai, significantly expanding the existing system with 75 new, affordable, energy-independent ministations. This initiative aims to provide granular, neighbourhood-level air quality data, enabling targeted mitigation strategies and faster responses to pollution. The project, expected to be fully operational in a year, will enhance decision-making for cleaner air in the city.
