2 businessmen held for mis-declaring chemicals, evading huge duty

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has arrested two chemical traders, Ankit Mehta and Maulik Kothari, for allegedly evading over Rs 22 crore in customs duty. The traders are accused of mis-declaring imported chemicals from China, suppressing country of origin and Bill of Lading details to avoid higher duties.
