Congress urges CM Fadnavis to declare`wet drought` in Maharashtra

With heavy rains damaging nearly 17.85 lakh hectares of crops across 30 districts, Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar urged the Maharashtra government to declare a wet drought. He demanded Rs 50,000 per hectare compensation, halting loan recovery, and expedited insurance payouts to support distressed farmers in Marathwada and Vidarbha.
