Salman Khan Speaks Out Against Misuse of AI, Calls for Strict Action

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has raised concerns over the growing misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI), calling for strict action against people who deliberately create and circulate fake AI-generated videos. Khan discussed the issue during an episode of Bigg Boss 20, where he described the rapid advancement of AI as scary and stressed the need for stronger measures against its misuse. A video of his remarks has since been circulated online. Salman Khan Calls AI Misuse a Serious Concern Speaking about AI-generated videos and voice manipulation, Khan said the technology had advanced to an alarming level. He pointed out that people can now manipulate someone's statements, create fake videos or use AI-generated voice dubbing to make it appear as though a person said something they never actually said. Khan also revealed that he himself has been featured in AI-generated videos. Calls for Legal Action Against Fake AI Content The actor said people who knowingly create misleading AI content should face strict consequences. Khan argued that many social media users may not realise that a particular video is AI-generated and could share it believing that the content is genuine. However, he said those who knowingly create such fake content should be held accountable. He said actors and other public figures can approach cybercrime authorities to identify those behind fake AI videos. However, ordinary people may not have the same access or ability to trace the source of manipulated content. According to Khan, the consequences of such fake videos can extend beyond individuals and affect their families as well. The actor made the comments while addressing Bigg Boss 20 contestants over remarks concerning each other's appearances inside the house.
