I Didnt Know I Was Ready: Kiara Advani Opens Up About Her Bold Toxic Role

Actress Kiara Advani believes Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups will be an important milestone in her career, with the film allowing audiences to see a completely different side of her as a performer. The trailer of the film, starring Rocking Star Yash, was unveiled at a grand event in Bengaluru. Advani is seen as Nadia, a character marked by sensitivity, emotional depth and intensity. She plays a circus artiste in the film. The trailer offers a glimpse into the dangerous world of Yashs character, Raya. Set in Goa, the period gangster drama revolves around crime, power, family and betrayal. Nadias character adds an emotional and suspenseful layer to the narrative. Reflecting on her experience of playing Nadia, the 35-year-old actress said, I truly believe that Geetu and Yash made the character of Nadia come to life for me. They saw the potential in me and believed in me, even though at the time I didn't know I was ready to take such a bold step as an actress. Today, when I watch every little bit of my film, I feel like thanking Geetu and Yash. They gave me a character that will remain very special in my acting journey. I feel there will be a Kiara before 'Toxic' and a different Kiara after 'Toxic'. The film will also be dubbed and released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is scheduled to hit theatres on August 26.
