Will consider granting permanent commission to women officers: Indian Coast Guard to SC

The Indian Coast Guard is contemplating the issuance of permanent commissions to its female officers, in line with Supreme Court directives and favorable reports on vigilance clearances. Notably, officer Priyanka Tyagi among others will be assessed for lifelong service roles. With the Supreme Court advocating for equal opportunities, a decision is anticipated from the Coast Guard in the upcoming two weeks.
