What did Christa Pike do to be executed? 31 years ago, she and boyfriend attacked classmate with box cutter, carved pentagram, here's why

Christa Pike, Tennessees only woman on death row, was sentenced to death for the 1995 murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer, her classmate at a job training facility. Slemmer was attacked with a box cutter, and prosecutors said Pike carved a pentagram into her chest and removed part of her skull. Pike was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death, while her boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp received a life sentence.
