They cut neighbour's tree for a better lake view, court awards woman $35,000

A British Columbia homeowner won $35,000 after taking her neighbours to court for allegedly cutting trees on her property to improve their view of Shuswap Lake. Jacalyn Hays said she had allowed limited trimming but claimed the neighbours went beyond the agreed conditions and removed mature trees.
