Ryder Williams, the 16-year-old lifeguard who rescued a 10-year-old boy from dangerous surf in Santa Cruz, didn't stop there. After returning to duty, he helped in four more rescues the same day as powerful waves and rip currents battered the California coast. US President Donald Trump has announced he would give him a High Civilian Honour.
