Suchika Tariyal reaches semifinal in mixed martial art to book India's first Asian Games medal

India secured its first medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games after Suchika Tariyal defeated Mongolias Altanchimeg Baigalmaa to reach the womens traditional 60kg MMA semifinal. Indias womens table tennis team also opened its campaign with a 3-0 win over Indonesia, while the mixed doubles teqball pair missed out on bronze.
