RBI revises foreign currency deposit inflows under FCNR(B) upward to USD 133 bn

RBI revised FCNR(B) deposit collections upwards to USD 133 billion. The scheme's closing date was advanced by one month following a strong response from the Indian diaspora. The special forex swap facility for FCNR(B) deposits was launched on June 8, 2026. Total inflows under the facility reached USD 143.596 billion by September 18, 2026, with FCNR(B) deposits accounting for USD 132.980 billion of the total.
