President Murmu appoints BJP MP Dinesh Sharma as Lt Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands

President Droupadi Murmu has appointed BJP MP Dinesh Sharma as the Lieutenant Governor of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Rashtrapati Bhavan said Saturday. The 62-year-old BJP leader, a former Uttar Pradesh deputy chief minister and Lucknow mayor, will assume office from the date he takes charge, succeeding the outgoing administrator.
