Panel asked to prioritise sexual assault cases faced by women protesters.: CJI

The Supreme Court panel will prioritize sexual assault complaints from recent student protests. This high-powered committee was urged to submit an interim report on these serious allegations. Senior advocate Shobha Gupta requested suo motu cognizance of sexual assault cases. The five-member panel is headed by retired SC judge R Subhash Reddy. Women protesters can submit their complaints directly to a designated district judge.
