Objectionable NCERT textbook chapter: Supreme Court closes its suo motu proceedings

The Supreme Court has decided to officially conclude its suo motu proceedings concerning the contentious chapter titled 'Corruption in Judiciary,' which was previously part of an NCERT Class 8 textbook. The court acknowledged that the removal of this chapter was based on recommendations from an expert panel. Consequently, new textbooks featuring the updated material are now in distribution, marking the closure of these proceedings following the chapter's removal.
