Kuki-Zo MLAs attend Manipur Assembly session for first time since ethnic strife, CM welcomes unity step

Manipur assembly session began with Kuki-Zo legislators attending in person after three years. Two Kuki-Zo MLAs physically participated in the first sitting of the assembly. Chief Minister Khemchand Singh welcomed this move as a positive step for unity. The assembly passed a resolution urging the update of the National Register of Citizens. This development occurred despite a directive from Kuki Inpi Manipur to boycott the session.
