The Zodiac Killer remains an unidentified serial killer who targeted people in California's Bay Area. Between 1968 and 1969, he attacked seven people, killing five of them. The killer also sent taunting letters and coded messages to newspapers, claiming responsibility for the crimes. Despite extensive investigations and numerous theories about his identity, he has never been conclusively identified. The case remains one of the most enduring mysteries in American true-crime history.
