Years before launching BeyGOOD, American iconic singer Beyonc donated $2 million in 2006 toward 42 housing units in Houston for homeless people. The project reflected her early commitment to community support and came amid the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Beyonc's philanthropy also extended to employment and addiction recovery apart from housing.
