EVM glitches, 'fake' voting complaints during Rajasthan civic polls; turnout crosses 50% by 1 pm

EVM glitches disrupted polling at several places in Rajasthan on Wednesday. Voters lined up to elect councillors in the first phase of urban local body elections. 50.38% turnout was recorded till 1 pm by officials. Complaints of alleged fake voting also emerged from various districts. Polling began at 7 am and will continue until 6 pm.
