Deputy bank manager allegedly pledges customers gold ornaments worth crores to finance online gambling

A bank deputy manager has been apprehended for allegedly misappropriating and pledging over 2.7 kilograms of customer gold ornaments, valued at more than Rs 3.5 crore. Police suspect the funds were used for online betting. While efforts are underway to recover the stolen gold, authorities are facing challenges with financiers and are pursuing legal avenues.
