Dehradun's Rs 16 crore bridge gets big hole in just 17 days after rain; probe on to determine the cause

A newly built Dehradun bridge lost its approach road just seventeen days after its opening. Overnight rainfall eroded the soil supporting the road, causing a significant collapse. Officials stated the bridge itself remained structurally safe, and traffic was rerouted. An investigation has been ordered to fix responsibility for the construction quality issues. Temporary repairs have since restored traffic flow on the affected stretch.
