DBT transfers reach Rs 2.08 lakh crore

Direct benefit transfers have reached 2.08 lakh crore this fiscal year. Fertiliser subsidy led with 62,984 crore, and Public Distribution System followed. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme received 15,241 crore in transfers. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin and PAHAL schemes also saw significant fund allocations. Haryana topped the state rankings for direct benefit transfers.
