Chandigarh property owners may get relief: UT plans regularisation of pre-2011 GPA, SPA transactions

Chandigarh's administration has introduced a new policy aimed at regularizing properties acquired through power of attorney transactions prior to 2011. The initiative seeks to ease the transition of ownership records for qualified property owners, addressing a significant backlog of applications with local authorities. However, this policy will not extend to new power of attorney transactions. If ratified, it promises to resolve many property ownership dilemmas for residents.
